If you're looking for a cozy escape in the English countryside, the Skylar Shepherds Hut is worth considering. Situated a short drive from Bath and nestled in a peaceful airfield, this compact hut offers a comfortable stay for two. The wood burner is a great feature, especially in chilly March. While we couldn’t enjoy the BBQ on the patio due to the rain, it’s easy to envision it being a lovely spot in summer. The hut strikes a balance between basic amenities and charm—it definitely feels homely. Fiona, our host, was attentive and made sure our arrival went smoothly, waiting for us late in the evening. The nearby farm shop is well-stocked and a plus for those looking to cook. It’s a solid choice for a short getaway, blending comfort and convenience without the frills.
